入圍2018年第九屆金音獎最佳爵士單曲110West專輯 Banana單曲。
對一般不懂Jazz的人來說，爵士樂是很艱深難懂的。
一般人喜歡爵士樂，往往是喜歡Jazz帶來的氛圍、音樂本身的屬性，亦或樂手技術層面的表現、和聲運用與即興演奏的能力，但其實對職業樂手以外的人來說，很難真正了解爵士樂手本身想表達音樂的方式。
而流行音樂之所以平易近人，是因為弦律簡單易懂加上有歌手詮釋，有一定的記憶點，容易模仿並琅琅上口；相較之下，爵士音樂較有深度的調性就顯得曲高和寡，但其創造的歷史存在價值卻不容忽視。為了帶給更多人有質感的好音樂，也讓慣聽流行音樂的族群懂得享受爵士樂，這張專輯刻意將Jazz與和聲技巧做適當結合，融入了流行性的節奏，讓Jazz不再顯得艱深難懂。
這張專輯運用了很多的Poly Chord（複合式和弦），這種方式大部分出現在EURO EDM（歐洲電音），較少出現在流行音樂或是爵士樂裡面，專輯中的Banana一曲就大量運用了這些和聲元素和節奏，以一種平易近人的Jazz樂型態呈現，卻又不失爵士演奏專輯該有的深度。而Nostalgic Memory(思慕的人)一曲，這首經典名曲在台灣有將近50幾年的歷史，取用大膽的Bebop 風格與和弦，展現另類的台灣五聲音階(Pentatonic)再配上大膽的和弦，打破一般人對台灣老歌的既定印象。
真的很感謝幾位亞洲頂尖樂手情義相挺，作品才得以問世。整張專輯Jazz/Smooth Jazz/Funk曲風，以簡單易懂的弦律、編曲搭配西方的節奏Grooving與和弦Chord作為專輯取向，巧妙融合艱深難懂的Jazz樂與流行音樂，整張專輯集合了東南亞和美國的頂尖的樂手，在台灣可說是首張結合國內外一線樂手的Jazz專輯。

This is a Jazz album for all listeners to enjoy. It contains some pop into jazz, yet the music does not lose the technique and grooving of jazz.
Many people say jazz is difficult to understand. Why is pop music such a popular genre of music? It is because of its simplicity. It does not have a lot of complicated chords, and listeners can easily recognize the melody. On the other hand, jazz music has more depth in technique and chord progressions which can be complicated.
This album uses several Poly Chords, which are often used in European EDM and less used in pop or jazz. Many harmonic elements and grooving are being used in the track “Banana”. Track of “Nostalgic Memory” is a cover of a legendary Taiwanese 1950’s song that has many years of history. It combines Bebop Style and Pentatonic that completely break away the image of traditional style into a whole new perspective.
This album has Jazz / Smooth Jazz / Funk style.

２０１８年Golden Indie Music Awards台湾のベストJAZZシングルにノミネート
このアルバムにはヨーロッパEDMによく使われているPoly Chord（複合和音）を使用しており、Poly Chordは普段ジャズやポップに使われませんが、新しいスタイルのジャズにアレンジしております。特にアルバム中の曲Bananaにこれらの要素が多く使用されており、本来のジャズを失う事無く新しい形式の音楽になっています。また、Nostalgic Memory(思慕的人)という一曲は昔の大物アーティスト洪ㄧ峰のカバー曲で、この台湾語原曲を知らない人は台湾にはいません。この曲に大胆なBebopとPantonicコードを使用し台湾の一般的な古い演歌の印象を破る作品です。
このアルバムの制作には4-5年かかりましたが、限られた予算の中でアジアのトップクラスプレイヤーの方々が協力してくれたことにとても感謝しており、高度な作品が出来たと思います。このアルバムはジャズ/ スムーズジャズ/ ファンクのカテゴリー、シンプルで受け入れやすいメロディーに加え、西洋感のグルービング＆コードに、高度なジャズスキルとポップな音楽の組み合わせでアレンジされております。アルバムには東南アジアと北米のトップミュージシャンRandy Backer/Andy Peterson/John Thomse/Brian Chu/Michel Ling/Mike Mclaughlin/MartinNgim/Chris Trzcinski/Leonardo Antonio Susi/Brenda Vaughn/Zorina London/Allan Hindsが参加プレー。台湾では初のファーストラインミュージシャンが集まったジャズアルバムと言えるでしょう。
In his breakout CD “110 West,” Asian pop bandleader and keyboardist Jay Hung shows he totally hit the books and flipped on the light. The heart and soul of jazz is there in his fingers that fly over the keys with stylish grooves in the track “Welcome to My Love” (which features rich, outstanding vocals). Another original, “Ocean Road,” is a beautiful orchestration bringing in passionate guitar riffs and snazzy statements from Hung on piano. Surprising rhythmic diversions jump out in “Nostalgic Memory” and “Drop of a Beat” has wildness and attitude.
Jay Hung has found his voice and broken free, providing the very first glimpse of what the spirit can accomplish against odds like poverty, societal misconceptions and a lack of educational resources. Wherever “110 West” is, it definitely leads to a glowing jazz boulevard.
